Terms of Service

These terms govern access to Marra Hub, a service operated by Marra Community Hub Incorporated.

Effective 18 August 2026 · Version 2026-08-18

1. Agreement and eligibility

By creating an account or using Marra Hub, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you use Marra Hub for an organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to act for it.

Users under 18 need a parent or guardian's permission where required and must follow the child-safe rules of the organisation whose activities they join.

2. The service

Marra Hub provides tools for organisation profiles, volunteer applications, team access, workshops, registrations, attendance, food queues, QR sharing and data exports. Features, limits and availability may change as the service develops. We will not materially reduce paid entitlements without reasonable notice.

3. Accounts and organisation responsibility

  • Provide accurate information and keep account details current.
  • Protect passwords, invitations and authenticated devices, and tell us promptly about unauthorised access.
  • Give team access only to people who need it and remove access when it is no longer appropriate.
  • Obtain required notices, permissions and consents before entering or importing personal information.
  • Use exports securely and comply with privacy, child-safety, workplace and volunteer obligations applicable to your organisation.

Actions taken through an authenticated account are treated as authorised until we are notified otherwise.

4. Acceptable use

You must not:

  • Break the law, infringe rights, harass people or upload harmful, deceptive or discriminatory content.
  • Access another organisation's data without permission or bypass security, capacity or rate controls.
  • Probe, disrupt, reverse engineer or overload the service, or introduce malware.
  • Use Marra Hub to send spam, conduct surveillance, sell personal information or build unrelated advertising profiles.
  • Misrepresent your identity, authority, organisation, programs or relationship with Marra Community Hub Incorporated.

5. Content and data

You retain ownership of content you submit. You grant us a limited licence to host, process, display and back up that content only as needed to provide, secure and improve Marra Hub. You are responsible for ensuring your content is lawful and that you have permission to use it.

Personal information is handled under our Privacy Policy. Google user data is used only as described there and in accordance with applicable Google API policies. As between an organisation and its volunteers and participants, the organisation is responsible for the personal information it collects and manages through its workspace.

We may prepare and use aggregated, de-identified statistics about platform use, such as volunteer and program counts, for service improvement and reporting to funders. These statistics do not identify individuals.

6. Volunteers and public registrations

Marra Hub is a platform, not the organiser of every listed activity. Each organisation is responsible for its programs, screening, supervision, accessibility, safety, cancellations, insurance and communications. Applying or registering does not guarantee acceptance or a place. Volunteers must also agree to the Volunteer Terms.

7. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the service and request account deletion. We may restrict or terminate access where reasonably necessary for security, unlawful conduct, serious or repeated breach, non-payment of a paid plan, or protection of users and organisations. Where practical, we will give notice and an opportunity to export data before termination.

8. Availability, warranties and liability

We aim to keep Marra Hub reliable but do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation. Organisations should keep appropriate exports and contingency processes for important activities. Third-party services are subject to their own availability and terms.

Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or guarantees that cannot lawfully be excluded, including applicable rights under the Australian Consumer Law. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost opportunity or loss caused by an organisation's content, program decisions, misuse of the service or events outside our reasonable control.

9. Changes and governing law

We may update these Terms and will identify each version by its effective date. Material changes will be presented for acceptance where required. These Terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia, and disputes are subject to the courts of Victoria and applicable Commonwealth courts.
